Vinschgau Valley

In the westernmost part of South Tyrol, not far from the border with Switzerland and Austria, there’s the Vinschgau Valley. Comprising 13 municipalities, it has a population of around 35,000. The SS 38 route (Stelvio Road) runs through the Vinschgau Valley, connecting Meran to Mals. The Vinschgau Railway line also crosses the valley, directly linking up to the SBB Swiss Railway system.

More prominent towns and villages include Mals, Glurns, Prad am Stilfserjoch, Laas, Taufers im Münstertal, Martell and Latsch.
